Southern Utah Training Group offers comprehensive, progressive training across 9 specialized disciplines. Each training series consists of three levels—from foundational skills to advanced leadership—designed to prepare you for real-world challenges through reality-based instruction.
Our Training Programs
Communications Training
Master radio and decentralized communication. Maintain contact and coordination when infrastructure fails and centralized systems are gone.

Defense Training
Master home defense through progressive, reality-based training. Protect what matters most through disciplined tactics, sound judgment, and lawful action under pressure.

Family Response - Active Shooter Survival and Traumatic Injury Training
Prepare Parents to lead, move, and medically support their children during an active shooter or serious emergency. Learn threat recognition, rapid evacuation, child communication under stress, and traumatic bleeding control.
1 level | 4 hours | $299
Price includes: Parents and all children 5-17 years old. Limit 1-2 families per training class depending on scheduled size of family to be determined by SUTG staff and schedule.
Logistics Training
Prepare for sustained instability. Learn to build depth in essential supplies, manage resources under pressure, and lead when scarcity becomes the norm.

Night Operations Training
Master operations in low-light and no-light conditions. Learn to move, communicate, and lead when darkness changes everything.

Recon & Intel Training
Master reconnaissance and intelligence gathering. Learn to observe, analyze, and turn information into decisive action through disciplined intelligence operations.

Responder Training
In partnership with Refuge Medical. Master trauma medicine using the S-MARCH-E algorithm through hands-on, high-stress training.

Sentinel - Church Security Training
Church security training. Learn to recognize threats early, respond lawfully, and maintain safety without disrupting worship.
Small Unit Tactics Training
Master coordination, discipline, and control under pressure. Learn to move, communicate, and operate as a team in uncertain environments.

Utah Concealed Carry
Obtain your Utah concealed carry permit with our comprehensive training course. Covers Utah concealed carry laws, legal use of force, firearm safety, suicide prevention and storage recommendations.

Vehicle Borne Operations Training
Master vehicle operations. Learn to use vehicles as tools—not traps—through disciplined positioning, movement, and decision-making under stress.
Progressive Training Structure
Each training series follows a three-level progression:
- Level 1 (4 hours, $299): Foundational skills and principles
- Level 2 (10 hours, $599): Advanced application and coordination (includes Level 1)
- Level 3 (20 hours, $1,399): Leadership and command (includes Levels 1 & 2)
